Cloud Software

Cloud software is software you access through the internet, rather than installing on your computer. Gmail, Google Docs, Xero, and Shopify are all cloud software. It means your data is stored online, you can access it from any device, and updates happen automatically. Most modern business tools are cloud-based.

Real-world example

A tradesperson switches from handwritten invoices to Xero (cloud accounting software) and can now send invoices from their phone while still on site.
