Prompt Engineering

Prompt engineering means writing clear, specific instructions for AI tools to get better results. Despite the technical-sounding name, it simply means learning how to ask AI questions in a way that gets useful answers. Good prompts give context, specify the format you want, and tell the AI who the audience is. You do not need any technical background to do this well.

Real-world example

Instead of 'write a social post', a well-engineered prompt is: 'Write a friendly Instagram caption for a family-run butcher in Cork announcing our Christmas hampers. Keep it under 100 words, mention free delivery over €50, and use a warm tone.'
