Irish Business

Revenue Commissioners

Revenue Commissioners (commonly called Revenue) is the Irish government body responsible for tax collection and customs. Irish businesses must register with Revenue, file VAT returns, PAYE payroll returns, and income or corporation tax. AI tools can help you prepare records and summaries for your accountant, but all filings must be done through the ROS (Revenue Online Service) portal.

Real-world example

A sole trader uses an AI tool to categorise and summarise a year's worth of receipts before sending them to their accountant for the annual income tax return.
